I consider myself a ‘jack of all trades’ having had a major career in the film and tv business for over 20 years as a producer and production manager of everything ranging from short films to feature length movies and major tv series productions.
During that time, I honored my interest in natural health care by getting my certification as an Aromatherapist.
I extended my learning to nutrition and took, among many courses and workshops, the FUNdamentals of Raw Food and the Science of Raw Food Nutrition with the wonderful folks of Living Light Institute of Raw Food teachings in Fort Bragg, California. I have also studied under several other raw food chefs and Experts such as the wonderful Raw Family tribe! For a period of time, I explored my interest in wild mushroom foraging by becoming a member of the Vancouver Mycological Society.
Having a natural interest in fine cuisine, I have jumped head on into making raw food taste like ‘cooked’ versions of popular dishes. While the raw versions often don’t come close to their cooked counterparts, they most often taste better! I have frequently heard my dinner guests say that if they could make the raw meals I prepared for them, they would happily convert to a raw food diet. This has inspired me to make this website and demonstrate how easy it can be for people to do what I do.
